The Eye: How do you feel about repeating  outfits, is it a do or a don’t?

Bianca Dottin: I LOVE repeating outfits. It’s definitely a do in my book. One of the things that I do is take pictures anytime I’m absolutely in love with an outfit that I put together because there are always going to be times when you’re in a hurry or running late and you need to throw something together quick. That’s when repeating outfits comes handy.

The Eye: Do you have any tips on how to remix a look?

Bianca Dottin: Remixing a look can be tricky because you want your look to be fresh every time although you are using some of the same pieces. When remixing a look play with different textures, colors, and lengths to find something that works well with whatever piece your choosing to remix. Try layering or adding fun accessories.

The Eye: What would you tell someone who wants to thrift shop, but feels enormously overwhelmed?

Bianca Dottin: BREATH! Shopping in thrift stores is only as overwhelming as you let it be. Take a friend with you if it’s your first time so you will be a little more relaxed. It’ll be a fun shopping day and more than likely you’ll find lots of great pieces at an amazing price.

The Eye: What do you consider a mandatory piece to someone’s closet?

Bianca DottinThat’s a really hard question because there are several pieces in my closet that I couldn’t live without but I would have to go with either a blazer or a cute pair of ballet flats. Both are essentials that should be in every woman’s closet. A blazer can make virtually any outfit look more professional. Ballet flats are the most appropriate shoes for when your feet start to give out on you.

The EyeWhere are the best places to look for discounts and bargains?

Bianca Dottin:  I look for bargains and discounts at a lot of stores. My favorites however have to be TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Target. With shoes it’s more tricky. I do most of my shoe shopping online because that’s where you will get the best sales. I’m always looking on DSW.com, and Steve Madden has the best sales. I’ve never ordered a pair of shoes online for more than $40. The most expensive pair of shoes I own in my closet is a pair of leather BCBG boots that I bought at TJ Maxx for $90. It’s super important to me to get the most value for my dollar but still get quality. That’s why I love TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

The Eye: Where can we see more of you?
