Color blocking is typically something that takes place in the warmer seasons. You'll see plenty of color blocking with loud colors like orange, yellow or red taking place during the summer. We want to share how you can bring this trend into the cooler seasons while also still rocking winter's favorite colors such as oxblood, various shades of gun metal and cobalt blue.

From color contrasting sleeves and texture contrasting details, the whole opposites attract things makes for great clothing. The opposites complement each other and creates an interesting wardrobe. The simplicity of color blocking lays a canvas for personalizing the look with great ease.

We have a few ways you can mold the color block trend to your specific tastes.

Color Block Craze

The first look is very casual with a masculine touch. We decided to go with this color blocked varsity jacket to give a laid back appeal to build the platform that allows the shoes to take spotlight. With such a simple outfit, why not go all out with spiked shoes?

The second look is minimalist inspired. The dress is the epitome of simplicity in color and structure. If you don't want a lot going on just add some tights and knee high boots to this look that can easily be worn out to a luncheon with friends.Add the quirky clutch and cute hat to make the look a little bit more fun for a party.

Our last look has a little sophistication as all the color block action takes place in the clutch. We have a lot of texture involved and minimal color, as we want the textures to take center stage. Both the bag and shoes have this ribbed and quilted detail that draws the eye in and gives the overall look some character.

Are you convinced that color blocking can be transitioned for cooler weather or have we failed you?!Hopefully this post inspires you to take the trend and make it your own.
