The bardot neckline has always been the epitome of romance to me.The revealing of shoulder and clavicle is pretty sexy, don't you think? The shoulders are sexy in a demure way.It takes a particular eye to appreciate such delicate skin. Being able to wear this neckline means being able to see the beauty in bareness.

The bardot neckline dates back to old Hollywood glamour of the 50s/60s.There's a such a sultriness to this look that all I want to do is expand on it, but that doesn't mean you should be restricted by it.If I were to wear this look I'd definitely go the vintage route, simply because I admire that kind of beauty. The bardot neckline can always be molded, just like every other element in fashion into something completely revamped. The look below is the feminine/vintage route but the second one is a bit different than this neckline's usual avenue.

This look is somewhat more modern and sleek.I wanted to play with fit and color in this look. I figured I could change the tone by pairing the top with a pair of high waisted skinny jeans, and a bright colored blazer. This blazer adds a fun element that you don't typically accompany in a bardot-neckline, oriented look. The leopard print sneakers is simply to add a cute tomboy-ish flare, to this look that I'd personally wear on my own.

That Neckline

Was my twist on this classic look successful? How would you put a spin on the bardot neckline, let me know in the comment section below!
