Too Cool for School Egg Mouse Pack Review
Too Cool for School's Egg Mousse Pack is a hydrating mousse face mask. According to Sephora's website, "This unique, frothy facial mask deeply moisturizes and enhances the use of other skin care products for beautifully luminous skin". After I suffered an over exfoliation incident, anything that promises hydration and skin barrier benefits is a must to my routine.
The moisturizing properties of egg within the face pack's ingredients drew me to this product. Eggs can help aid in improving the skin's texture due to the fatty acid rich egg yolk that lends moisture to the skin and the astringent properties in egg as a whole which can help reduce the appearance of pores.
Using the egg mousse pack was definitely a different experience than other masks I've used. I'm used to applying thick clays or bouncy glycerin based jellies, dealing with a fluffy mousse was new and refreshing. The mousse comes out and expands a little like a regular hair mousse so be aware of how much you're applying.
The mousse is light, airy and doesn't really have much of a smell. Applying the mousse to my skin was
fun, almost like playing with frothy bubbles. The bottle states to rub the mask in and let it sit for about 5 minutes or until the bubbles begin popping on their own. I love how inventive and fun this mask was and it inspires me to look for new products and skincare products again.
After using the mousse pack and washing it off, my skin did feel hydrated and visibly brighter. Not only is the packaging cute but this product actually does what it's set out to do. I purchased my Egg Mousse Pack from TJ Maxx for about 8 dollars a bottle but it can be purchased on Sephora for 20 dollars and Amazon for 11.00 dollars.
