LA Colors Metal to the Max lip products are described as a metallic lip gloss by their website.  The lip products claim that the formula suits the lips well, stating "This formula is very comfortable on lips without any grit and leaves lips feeling moisturized". Pictured above are the shades, Brilliant(the slightly more red shade), Splendor(the deep pink shade), Glaze(the deep gold tone) and Afterglow(the more true gold shade). The packaging does reflect the true color of the product, and its design is the standard doe foot applicator. In addition to the design of the lip product, the font and design is simplistic, yet pretty.

The Metal to the Max Lipglosses serve more as a gloss than a metallic in texture. Metallic finishes can feel tight and drying like a matte on the lips, but this finish is flexible, comfortable and not easily disturbed. The lip glosses feel moisturizing on the lips and you can rub your lips together without the tackiness of a standard lip gloss.

Despite it's comfortable texture, the glosses do attempt to be metallic given the slight flecks of sparkle in the product. The colors are very pigmented on the lips and definitely show up on dark skin, in fact the undertones are quite warm and flattering on dark skin too. I would easily wear one of these with a brown lip liner for a casual or evening look.

My personal favorite of these shades has to be Brilliant(the red shade below). Brilliant truly surprised me, I didn't think the gloss would be nearly as opaque, especially considering its price. The rich red was just deep enough to branch into a mature red I can throw on when ever. Not only did the pigmentation and opaque nature of the glosses surprise me, so did the price of the products. Each of these lipglosses are under 5 dollars depending on the store its sold, the products are currently only sold at select Family Dollars.

I am very happy with my purchases and it serves as a reminder that LA Color always does their glosses right! Feel free to check out my last LA Color's lipgloss review here. Are you excited for LA Color's new product unveiling?
